My name is Claudia Koch.
I am the founder of the initiative We Do OCEAN.

If it’s imaginable, it’s achievable.
Today, the projects of the non-profit organization We Do OCEAN are among the largest of their kind in Indonesia. As a network partner of the German Committee for the UN Decade of Ocean Science, our initiatives have been showcased on platforms such as BetterOcean and Heroes of the Sea as best-practice examples.
In 2025, We Do OCEAN received first prize in the Environment category at the German Sustainability Projects Award, presented by DUB UNTERNEHMER magazine in cooperation with ntv.

When you are a former IT product manager from Germany and now an active diving instructor in Bali, you simply pack your bags, get on a boat and start planting over 100,000 corals by hand with the aim of giving something back to the cultural heritage of the ocean, you have to have stamina.
